New York Race Complex

Totally re-paved and new concrete curbs added in 2017 saw the rebirth of a brilliant race track.  The New York Race Complex is an excellent race facility for racers new and old and with all levels of racing ability.  The 0.8 mile length is both challenging and fast with excitement at every turn.

Plentiful pit space for even the largest of rigs, the New York Race Complex is a great location for enjoyment on or off the race track.

Many more continuous improvements are being made both to the track and race facility ahead of an exciting 2019 season where we will once again host a series of popular karting events including; The Gearup Challenge, The New York Karting Championship and a number of other large events still to be announced.

We also feature competition karting rentals and private test days.

We urge anyone interested in racing to come and visit NY Race Complex to experience the track first hand.

LaFayette Motorsports Park

The new track owners and management of the LaFayette Motorsports Park (formerly the Cherry Valley Motorsports Park) are excited to bring you a reinvigorated race track and experience where you our customers are of the utmost importance, after safety.

Widened and totally re-paved in May 2018, The LaFayette Motorsports Park is a 0.5 mile of reconfigurable asphalt road course track with the addition of a dirt track section for SuperMoto events. The largest road course configuration is made up of ten turns, six left (including the hairpin) and four right as well as a long straight away through the start/finish line uphill to the hairpin.

The course has a series of underground drainage systems so that even on wet weather days, the course drains and dries quickly so as to limit the potential for rain delays or cancellations.

The enlarged pit area is large enough to accommodate your racing setup and RV.  Pit area includes compressed air for filling your tires and/or air tanks.

The elevated race control tower provides a clear view of the track and is equipped with a clear PA system to announce upcoming heats and race results and includes a new MyLaps X2 computerized timing and scoring system.

We encourage drivers of all ages and abilities to attend, plentiful help is available to those new to the sport requiring some tutelage or just a second set of hands on race day.

Genesee Valley Kart Club

Celebrating 60 years of karting! Join us May through October for asphalt oval and sprint kart racing. Located on Route 15 on Avon, NY, just south of 5&20.

Kart racing is not only fun, it is the training for tomorrow’s professional drivers. A very short list of drivers who started in karts includes Emerson Fittipaldi, Scott Pruett, Al Unser Jr., Alain Prost, Lake Speed and Michael Andretti.  Kart racing gives you the opportunity to learn about all aspects of racing vehicle dynamics, engine tuning and proper driving techniques.

GVKC is a family oriented organization. Children begin racing at age 5 and we have had racers in their 60′s too! Many families help out during the race day as “pit crews” for the karters. You’ll see family members keeping lap times, working on engines, helping the racers suit up before the race and lots of other activities.Karting is one of the least expensive forms of motor sports. Good, competitive used equipment is how most people choose to begin. At GVKC, we race on hard compound tires, which last longer than sticky tires. Depending on class and tire used, you could expect to use 1 to 4 sets of tires per year. Under normal conditions, the weekly maintenance costs are low and many people learn how to make their own repairs.

Safety is #1. All karts are inspected each race day to make sure they are race ready. In addition, all drivers are required to wear full face helmets with the latest safety rating, protective clothing, gloves, high top shoes and a neck collar.

We race almost every Sunday and admission is free to the grandstands.

Come out and spend some time with us. We are always happy to answer your questions and tell you why we like karting. We think you’ll like it too!!
